Aligning Evidence, Innovation
and Access in Greece and Europe’s
Evolving HTA Landscape

Thursday, September 24th, 2026

Advancing collaboration, evidence and innovation to support more effective and sustainable HTA systems across Europe.

As Europe moves beyond the initial phase of the EU Health Technology Assessment Regulation (HTAR), the 11th HTA Conference in Greece returns as a leading forum to explore how national systems are aligning with a more collaborative and integrated European HTA framework. In a rapidly evolving policy and innovation landscape, stronger collaboration between countries is essential to ensure that health technology assessments remain robust, transparent, and aligned with patient needs.

In this new landscape, health technology assessment is no longer a purely national process. Cross-country collaboration, joint clinical assessments and shared evidence generation are redefining how decisions are made, how value is assessed, and how patients gain access to innovation across Europe.

Within this context, Greece is actively strengthening its role within the European HTA ecosystem, adapting its structures, processes and capabilities to align with emerging EU practices while addressing national healthcare priorities.

At the same time, rapid advancements in innovative therapies, digital health, artificial intelligence and real-world data are transforming the evidence base and challenging traditional HTA approaches.

By bringing together leading experts from Greece and across Europe, the 11th HTA Conference aims to contribute to a shared vision of HTA that is collaborative, evidence-based, and capable of supporting innovation while ensuring equitable patient access across healthcare systems.

Through focused discussions and high-level dialogue, the event will highlight how Greece and Europe can work together to accelerate access to innovation, strengthen evidence-based decision-making and ensure equitable outcomes for patients across health systems.
